Why Families Love a Late Peek

The final weeks can feel incredibly exciting — and very long! A Late Peek gives you a chance to see how much baby has grown, watch baby's movements, hear the heartbeat again and see how baby appears to be positioned at the time of your visit.

What Might We See? ♡

Babies can settle into several different positions late in pregnancy. Your Late Peek allows us to show you how baby appears positioned during your ultrasound.

Head Down

Baby's head appears toward the lower uterus.

Baby may be head down while facing a different direction.

Your Prenatal Provider Is Still in Charge ♡

Baby's position can change, and an elective position check is not a medical examination or a substitute for your prenatal provider's assessment. Questions about baby's presentation, labor or delivery should always be discussed with your OB, midwife or other prenatal healthcare provider.

Can We Still See Baby in 3D/HDlive?

Sometimes! At 37+ weeks, baby has much less room and may be tucked deeply into position. If baby's face is visible and conditions are favorable, we'll happily take a 3D/4D/HDlive peek.

If baby surprises us with a great view, ask about upgrading your Late Peek so you can take home even more of those last in-utero memories.

Baby Is Still the Boss
Position, available fluid, placenta location and limited space can all affect what we are able to see late in pregnancy. A clear facial image cannot be guaranteed.

And Yes — You Get to Hear That Heartbeat

Even this close to delivery, hearing baby's heartbeat is still one of those sounds that never gets old. We'll let you watch and listen during your Late Peek.
